Monetizing Twitter

           Gaining maximum Followers

The best way to increase your followers on Twitter is to keep track of the people that you follow. If after a few days they haven't followed you back then you should unfollow them.

This helps with Twitters ratio of the maximum people you may follow to the amount of people who follow you back. This will allow you to go past the initial 2000 Follower limit most people get stuck on without the aid of some of the dodgy programs that give you fake followers.

Once you have decided on a target audience you can search for people with the same interests by using the search option and the hashtag method.

This will show up any posts with any relevance to your hashtag search. You can then follow these people and in turn they may follow you back.

Favouriting and Re-Tweeting shows that your someone that's good to interact with and can result in a good follow back rate.

Getting Yor Followers To Re-Tweet and Favourite Your Posts

Well the best way to do this would be to write a good Tweet. But for those who struggle to squeeze good content into the small amount of space your allowed you can again use the hastag method #RT or similar variations.

One other way is to look through others posts to find out the people who Re-Tweet and Favourite others comments regularly and follow them. Obviously this only works when they follow you back but I found this has raised my Re_tweeted posts significantly.

Show me the money!!

Once you have a decent number of followers you need to build yourself a website. You can make one easily nowadays for free.

All you need to do is take a few snapshots of your Twitter account as proof place them on a website with a description of the service you are offering and maybe add a little bit about yourself.

The next step would be to get a Paypal Account, if you don't have one, and set up some shopping cart buttons and place them on your site. You don't have to use theirs as there are many sites that let you create your own buttons.

Once you have decided on the pricing,  for however many Tweets a day, your site can be published and you can begin putting your site out there.

How do i post at specific times a day?

You can use any free programs out there that post to social media. These enable you to set the times and dates months in advance so you can let it run on autopilot. I use Hootsuite.

All that's required is that you promote your site and wait for your Paypal notifications to steadily come in.

Can I Get Leads This Way?

You could try using a squeeze page with an opt-in form.
For this I think i gave away 5 free Tweets as an incentive. This gives them a taster of what you can deliver and hopefully they buy from you in the future. Failing that you then have them on your list and can offer them something else they may be interested in.

Well i hope this helps anyone wanting to earn a bit of extra beer money. lol

The Benefits Of List Building

I'm sure you've heard it all before, "The money is in the list!" Well this may be true because  without one, or even a small and unresponsive list, there's little chance of a sale at all as it's the backbone of any online marketing efforts.

Many new online marketers will try to sell their products, through their own website, blog, social media or traffic exchanges. There's nothing wrong with this but unless you have a decent rank on Google or lots of Friends/Followers etc, the results can and usually are disappointing.

This is why we try to capture any traffic(visitors to your site), to our auto responder( automated emailer), using an opt in form on our webpage. This way your traffic is not lost after the site is viewed and no sale is made.

This enables you to be able to market related products to the potential customer in the future and hopefully build a trusted relationship with them, by engaging them with useful info on a regular basis. Also they then become a more targeted audience. This raises the chances of your potential buyer being interested on what we have to offer.

In time the bigger the list you build the more chance you have of making sales and on a more regular basis, making it possible to earn a decent wage, that you can live off, from recurring buyers or from their friends and associates through word of mouth or maybe their own mailing lists.

Once we have a list that's around, let's just say, 1000+ and a good click through rate(customers opening our emails and clicking the link to a squeeze page or sales page) then we can monetise our email lists further by charging competitive prices selling Solo Ads.

This is where we offer to send an email, usually with a link to a squeeze/opt in page to part of our list so that they  may receive some interest, and possibly gain some subscribers of their own from our lists. This can be very profitable if used correctly but can also result in some unsubscribers if used to often.

There are many methods of list building and as you can see these are just some of the benefits.

Kelvin Phillips

A Bit About Me

Hi , my name is Kelvin Phillips, I'm 33 Years old and I live with my 2 girls Britney and Stephanie, who are aged 7 and 4 and my fiance, Karla who I won't mention how old she is!
I'm an armchair football fan, or pub stool football fan, whichever way you look at it, and I support the mighty 'Toffee's', that's Everton football club to those who don't know.
I have a full time job, working night shift at Tesco, and I have been gaining experience in Internet Marketing, on the side as a hobby.

Marketing Efforts

I started out online originally searching for a new job, as I fancied a change, but there didn't seem to be much of interest to me, with so little qualifications, and quickly found myself getting caught up in all the get rich quick schemes, which I soon worked out were mostly scams or websites full of popup ads and malware. Then I found Clickbank, which still to this day seems to be an uphill struggle for myself and others.

I eventually found Facebook and became one of those nasty spammers, we all hate, as I didn't understand how to go about selling my Clickbank products. Here I met some people who were actually willing to show me the ropes and I Started to understand where I was Going Wrong, so I decided to stick at it.

I learned The importance of engaging with people, using Twitter and Facebook. I learned the importance of building a mailing list, by using Lead Capture Pages and the best methods of how to do this. There was one guy that showed me Traffic Generation Techniques, and another who showed me how to create content that I could sell over and over.

Current Projects

I'm currently in the middle of a few projects, one of which I'm writing content all about basic Listbuilding techniques that I will be selling with a bundle and a possible upsell.
I'm building my two Twitter accounts one personal and one that I will use to sell advertising (charging for tweets, retweets etc).
And then I'm going to be setting up a joint venture as this is something I've not had any experience doing as of yet, and I've heard theres a lot of leads that can be aquired and a better lead to buyer ratio(that's the rumour)

I hope this made a good read and I will be updating on new ventures and letting you know how things turned out.
                Kind regards,
                                     Kelvin Phillips
